Hello Diego.

I really appreciate your assistance with this invitation for Representative Lofgren to speak at this April 24 event, or to provide a video we can show, and/or to invite her District Director or legislative aide to attend. There will be many of Zoe's constituents in the audience of 450.

The announcement for the event is at the very end of this email.

Please let me know if Representative Lofgren is coming, and if not, if we could get a short video as a CD, on YouTube, or whatever technology is best, to show at the event. A video of 2-5 minutes would be fine [subject matter details below], but we have room on the program for a longer statement if she wishes. I know Lynne's constituents are looking forward to her attending the event, or seeing her on the screen if she can't. We would also appreciate knowing if her District Director and/or a legislative aide will attend.

FYI, Representatives Barbara Lee, Pete Stark, Lynne Woolsey, Anna Eshoo, Mike Honda and Jay McNerney are also invited or will be sending videos and/or District Directors/legislative aides.

Can you or the appropriate staff member RSVP very soon if she's coming, sending a video, and/or if the Director or aide are coming so that I can get them on the program?

We want the video to address the topic of the event, particularly these two things:

1) A very brief statement of the public actions she has taken in the House so far calling for immediate impeachment hearings for Vice President Cheney*

2) What action she is now taking to get the hearings started, what she thinks the chances are for hearings before Congress adjourns, and her specific response to the "Nixon Flooding Plan" strategy suggesting she hopper her own resolution(s) for an immediate investigation of Cheney, replicating what happened in 1974 when Representatives flooded the House with resolutions for Nixon investigations, leading to Nixon's resignation shortly thereafter.
