Thank you for the honor of letting me be the first to sign your petition.
Interesting idea -- more than one write in candidate. That might create a media storm, or at least an interview or two. If AP picks it up it could go pretty wide.?
Do you know if someone can run as a write-in in more than one district??

In case anyone on this list is interested in becoming a write-in?
candidate, here's what happened last Tuesday. I had been?
contemplating becoming a write-in candidate for several months, and?
on Tuesday I stopped by the Registrar of Voters in Oakland and said?
I'd like to have the necessary forms -- I was thinking I would take?
them home and study them. The clerk brought out two papers, said,?
"Read this. Sign this. Sign this. Take these petitions and get 40?
valid signatures. You should probably bring me 80-100 signatures,"?
she told me, "because so many of them turn out to be invalid. Bring?
them back by May 20. Make sure to give me any aliases, or any other?
ways that you spell your name, or ways that people might tend to MIS-
spell it -- and you'll be certified by the Secretary of State, and?
every write in vote you receive will be tallied by the state."
I was in the office for ten minutes or less. And I left as an?
official write in candidate (petitions pending).
Total cost: zero dollars, zero cents.
It's that easy.
If any of you are interested in running -- in District 9 ALONG WITH?
me (the more of us the better) or in any other district -- feel free?
