Dear Friends,
I apologize for the last minute change in schedule. The meetup website automatically schedules meetings, and sometimes I don't catch it in time. This Sunday, day after tomorrow, is the only time I have this month for a meeting. I hope the people who RSVP'd yes for May 12 can make it Sunday.
Our focus continues to be on pressuring Northern California Congressional incumbents to cosponsor impeachment resolutions. We are doing this by challenging their seats- we now have SIX IBC members who are running for Congress! We are challengers who are not beholden to corporations, who understand the havoc Bush and Cheney have wreaked on our country and our planet, and are prepared to bring the criminals to justice and clean up their mess.
Thanks to Cynthia Papermaster, who is organizing a coalition of California candidates for impeachment.
Come to our meeting. Let's put our heads together, for the sake of our grandchildren.
Agenda:
1) Introductions
2) Assessment of current situation re impeachment
3) Assessment of presidential race and how it affects the prospects for impeachment
4) Update on our candidates- how we can best support one another.
5) Internal IBC issues
